The farm is set up to operate in a sustainable way. We try to recycle everything, grow as much of our food as possible and take a responsible attitude to waste and energy.
Bush corridors are retained along the creek beds and provide homes where native birds and animals flourish. Kangaroos and wombats are often seen close to the house.
Friendly goats and Donna the Ayreshire cow provide milk for cheese making and bottle feeding baby animals. Free range chickens including rare breeds such as Faverolles and Arucanas help provide eggs.
A small number of Finn and coloured sheep are shorn each year providing wool for hand spinning. Two beautiful Hafflinger horses and a small pony complete the family.
Vegetables, fruit and herbs are grown amongst the flowers in outdoor rooms as part of the Permaculture design. We make our own organic jams and preserves.
Hargreaves Hill Brewing Company brews their beer on the property and the used barley is recycled as animal feed.
